About Barnwood

Barnwood House

Barnwood Pasture

The house that is now Barnwood Inn began its life at the turn of the last century. Up until the 1970s the house and land was still being used for farming, with cattle being pastured on the hill. Changing times and fortunes led to the home passing through several hands before being bought by the present owners in 2004.

With a phased renovation, the Hurlocks have endeavoured to restore this handsome house to something like its former glory - with a few modern conveniences factored in.
